The band is doing another live show in L.A., this time at the Fold. Anemone is once again supporting. I also hear that the producer is almost lined up for the new LP.

Just a quick note to apologize for misspelling Danny's band name. It really should be Wiskey Biscuit. Suki sent along a copy of the flyer for the show on the 19th. You can see it here. She also mentioned that the benefit gig went real well and that the band sounded great with Danny on keyboards.

Hey there, we've got concert dates for you. This Saturday (the 31st) at 3pm Acetone will be performing at Spaceland. They are playing as part of a benefit show for Huddie. Huddie is Danny Preston's dog. Danny Preston is the keyboard player who has been rehearsing with Acetone. Huddie needs an eye operation. (sorry Huddie) Danny put together a benefit show. Wiskey Biscuit is playing too. Wiskey Biscuit is the other band Danny plays with. Got all that straight? Go and help out the dog and get a dose of Acetone while you're doing something nice for Huddie and his pal Danny.

Also, coming up next month you can catch Acetone with Anemone at Spaceland on the 19th. Thanks to Suki for the tip on both these shows. Go see her band too (Anemone). They're great (okay so I haven't heard them, but they've just got to be) And as always, give me a shout after the show and let this sweltering Midwesterner know how things went.

News at last, though not of a most precise nature. The creative process of the new album is mostly complete. The band have continued to refine and perfect the new material while working out the details of who will produce the new album. Richie feels they are playing better than ever from all the practice the past months. They've recently added two new people to the mix, a keyboard player and pedal steel (not Greg Leisz) They've wanted to do some more local shows over the summer, but haven't yet as they had planned to be in the studio by now. It's looking like they'll record the album in September with a tour to follow that.
